In my previous incarnation I worked in IT and made a career change to higher ed administration... My BA in Classics and History turned out to be irrelevant to my new career, but then I was laid off. The plan is to go for my MA in higher education administration in September 2009 when life has calmed down a bit- I'd better start preparing for the GRE. I married the love of my life on March 23, 2008 and we are expecting an addition to the family in September! I am involved in the SCA, dressing up in funny clothes and throwing sharp, pointy things at targets is great fun. I dance and am a thrown weapons marshal. I was the provost for Ivory Keep and still am the head of the Brewers guild. I moved here from Florida when I transferred schools in 2004- I do NOT recommend transferring in January!! My "Welcome to Boston" was -30F. I detest Bush, I do not agree with his policies and I still have hard feelings about 2000. What I saw at the polls as a Palm Beach County voter would make your skin crawl. I definitely lean to the left politically and I am proud to live in the only state that recognizes gay marriage. I love Boston and I will never leave even though there is that white stuff called snow. I enjoy gaming and am involved with a monthly game that is more like every-couple-of-months-game but still fun.
